Which hotel is the closest in walking distance to Disneyland and has the cheapest rates?
Hotel RatesMelissa A asked:
I would like to stay at the disneyland hotel but it is to expensive. Can anyone recommend a hotel that is the closest walking distance to disneyland with cheap rates? We are not looking for any fancy hotel.

I always recommend the Howard Johnson (HoJo) and the Candy Cane Inn. While some hotels are closer, these two are very close to the front entrance, so you can walk back to the hotel for a swim or a nap in the afternoon. They are a step above the other hotels in the immediate area in terms of rooms, service, pool, and value.
Check out the location below:

Well, then there’s always the Disneyland Hotel, which is right on the property.
As I recall back in 2000, Disneyland cajoled Anaheim into eminent-domain condemning several hotels across Katella Avenue and Harbor Boulevard, and proceded to tear them down for more Disney developments. I have not been back to California since 2001, my boyhood state, so I do not know the hotel/motel situation any more!

Which Disneyland ?
Los Angeles , Orlando , often known as DisneyWorld , Paris , Hong Kong .
If it’s LA , try this link : with your dates - there’s about 150 which you can sort by price then check on the map with a route planner to work out distances. . Unless you want to go for very expensive hotels most use distance as a means to charge more. The nearer you are, the more expensive it gets.
But this site has plenty of last minute deals which can save a lot.
I think there are other good deals in the other cities, but you’ll need to check through.

The Howard Johnson off Harbor Boulevard is a great hotel and doesn’t cost too much. It has a great view of the fireworks and the pool is very nice, in fact, they just renovated it. The staff is great and there’s discounts all over the internet on Disney fansites.
