What are the good hotels within walking distance of Rockerfeller Plaza in New York?

I want to stay in a good hotel near Rockerfeller Plaza & when that’s too crowded I’ll get a taxi or train to other rinks. Westin Times Square is very nice, Sheraton Manhattan is disgusting..Mandarin Oriental is very nice, Sheraton New York is nice ( Sheraton New York and Manhattan are across the street from each other so make sure you choose New York it is the nicer one) Marriott Marquis is nice, Hilton Times Square is nice, The is nice, PS..in New York especially at Christmas rooms are at a premium so you are probably looking at 600 per night for a decent room if not more.
