Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the best hotel rates in Ocean City, MD?
Hotel RatesSummer asked:
I’ve tried expedia.com, hotels.com, hotwire.com and the Ocean City website but I’m sure there are cheaper hotels out there. There will be 3-5 people (all adults but alot of hotels only allow 4 per room). We would like to be on the beach and have a pool but we’re obviously not looking for a 5 star hotel. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Several hotels (especially Triprewards hotels) have a Best Rate Guarantee policy. The hotels include Days Inn, Ramada, Howard Johnson, Super 8, Travelodge, Wingate Inn, Knights Inn, Amerihost Inn and Baymont Inn & Suites. You can get the Guaranteed Best Available Rate or It’s Free when you book your reservation at the official web sites or by calling their reservation phone number. Details can be found at the following websites:

Well, prices will change depending on when you want to go, but check — click “Check Availability”, choose your dates, then sort the result list by price to see the lowest rates.
For the middle of July I see a good choice — Princess Bayside Beach Hotel for $140/nite.

I use to check for hotel rates and then often go to the hotel’s own site to see if the rates are cheaper. If there’s a particular brand of hotel that you prefer, try checking out their website to see if there are any of their hotels in Ocean City. Some hotels choose not to be listed in Travelocity or the other websites. For the best rates, choose rooms that don’t face the ocean and check into renting a condo for a week - sometimes these rates are less than a hotel and you have the opportunity to cook some of your own meals instead of eating out all the time.
One other suggestion would be to contact a travel agent and have them look for hotels for you too. If the travel agent finds you a good deal then use him/her to book the rooms - the hotel will pay the agent a commission and you’ll get your good deal. You shouldn’t have to pay any fees for the service.
