there is a great program called TravelAxe that you can download that does a great job of searching numerous sites for different hotel rates. I used this to get the Luxor for $40 cheaper than the hotel website, or any other site.
Best room rates = Sunday through Thursday is cheaper than Friday and Saturday. Avoid special events and large conventions..
The very best rates of the year in LV are in December, after the NFR up until New Years, for 2007 that’s December 9th up until the 28th. From the first of November until the end of January and from Memorial Day to Labor Day are both “generally” cheaper than the rest of the year. But, you still have to avoid those special events and conventions that drive room rates through the roof.
The Imperial Palace (center strip) has a “Casino Gold” special I’ve found only through their website, that runs rooms for $65/weekday and $85/weekend, but it includes admissions to the auto collections, buffet breakfasts or lunches, etc. They also send me monthly newsletters, where their special is always $49/night weekdays, so maybe you can sign up for those? I think I got signed up when I registered to get the free Imperial Player card. It’s got a great location, clean and of course, free drinks, etc in the casino…
I gain nothing by recommending Travelworm.com.I have used them on several occasions, when compared to Orbitz,Expedia,Travelocity,Tripadvisor,Hotels.com,etc… they truly offer the best rates overall.
