If you have a flight with multiple layovers (Birmingham, UK to Paris, France to Houston, Texas to San Diego, California for example) and flight changes how does that work?

Do you have to collect your luggage, check in and go through customs again at every stage, or are you automatically transferred between flights at each airport?

Also, if you have an overnight layover, is it possible/allowed to spend the entire time in the airport or do you have to find a hotel?

This will need to include hotel stay as well. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Oh and BTW, we live about 30 mins from Galveston and about 40 from Houston, so those two are out completely.

i was wondering b/c i’ll be there from jan 7th to 11th i’ll be staying at a marriott for 2 FREE NITES(2 differant marriotts). dont hate me b/c i work for marriott hotel. while you pay over $120 a nite i get to pay $35 to $50 a nite. even at full service marriotts. plus i get to walk around the whole hotel with out being asked why i’m in a place that noone is allowed. i can even walk threw a banquet department and take food or drinks with out paying for it or asking permission

I got accepted into University of Texas Austin, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and University of Houston. I want to major in Hotel Management. University Houston has the second best hotel management program in the nation but people are saying it is not a good school. A&M and UT have top notch business programs well but I do not know about their hotel management program. So where should I go? And if I go to University of Houston, will I be able to get accepted into UT or A&M’s MBA graduate school in the future?

my boss is taking me on a cruise ship and i got booked on a different flight a day earlier I arrive In Houston at midnight and they wont show up till noon (12 hours later).. I’ve never been to houston texas so i dont know the airport. Being only 18 years old i dont really wanna be by myself all night in an airport all by my lonesome in a country (I’m from Canada).. Does anyone know if there is a little built in hotel kinda thing at the airport so i could get some sleep that night.. or if there is a cheap little hotel very close to the airport.. and how much do cab rides usually cost to get to one..?
I Do not know which airport im arriving in i asked my boss she said i dont know.. as for to get the “Company” i work for to book this for.. i dont really work for a company i work at a chinese restaurant and im kinda like a daughter to my boss.. so im going on there family trip…. I do know that we are leaving out of Galveston…. & per one of your answers.. i dont care if i have to stay at an area around strip joints as long as i dont gotta pay a whole lot for a night of sleep or a whole lot to get there.. lol.. i just dont wanna spend 12 hours sittin on my a*s in the airport bored as hell…. I’m on my own.. cant rely on my boss or anyone else to help me..
